Just got into the studio here in Australia to an inbox full of abuse, and a voicemailbox full of "what the hell"s. Think its time to migrate away from PowerDNN to someone a little closer.
I host about 260 sites, some for corporates, some for small businesses and some for resellers. We have a good relationship with a datacentre who has two physical locations for redundancy and they are not carrier aligned, however, if telstra's node has an issue like it did after an ISP did something incorrect, causing half of Australia to not have internet or email, then I guess it's not much different, except that they did reroute the traffic through another carrier, but that was about 15 minutes of outage.
We are very good at hosting, but most of our work is word of mouth. Our hosting environment is very tailored towards businesses who use DNN and marketers who resell DNN and want top level DNN expert support from people who know your business, rather than just relying on a support crew.
I hope PowerDNN sort out their problems soon, It's never nice to have this problem and no company is immune to them .. no matter how good you think you are prepared. Some things are out of the hands of the hosting provider.
