Hello,

Tab permissions are handled through the tab permission controller. I think you can access them through currentTabInfo.TabPermissions.

Also, just as a quick thought, have you checked out the "Console" module? That might do part of what you're asking for... still, this is a nice activity to introduce yourself to the API and module development more generally.

There is some documentation on the API, but it isn't fantastic. I usually learn things by googling it or browsing the source code on codeplex.

Hope this helps,

Mike

Hi Mike

Must admit, I am proud of myself!! Have all the right info coming out and in the right order. I only have it in class file for now based on one portal but am going to use it to create a multi-design navigation Pure CSS Menu Bar.

I think its the one area that DNN is lacking.

I may start a Codeplex project to see if I get designer to offer up great CSS Menu Bar designs.

You dont know any respositories for CSS Menu Bars. Ive found a few but not really helpful oe great average in design.

Cool... sounds good.

As a quick thought, you might check out linq to filter your original pull for what you need, and then try making the function recursive to make it cleaner. Lastly, I would probably use a simple repeater control or something in your ascx file... or get into a style sheet if you want to be really fancy. Then, you can make a list of tabs in code, and bind the repeater to that list.

Hope this helps,

Mike
