Hi,

Can we have different Domain names for microsites. I am not talking about sub domains. We need different Domains for each microsite. I think it can be done but not fully sure about can anyone tell me if it is possible?

Thanks,

Hi, if by 'microsite' you mean child portal, then yes. Add the new domain name as a portal alias and also point it to your site in your hosting control panel.

Hi Pingle,

Yes I am talking about the child portal. Thanks for the clarification. DNN creates child portal under /portals/ . How to point it?

Thanks,

Point the DNA at the same IP as your DNN instance. Then when you create a new portal add the domain name in the alias. You can also edit an existing portal and add a new alias.

Generally when I did this in a multi-tenant environment I'd often setup a wildcard A record pointing at my main portal then use an alias against my domain to setup and access each child portal off my domain yourchildportal.mywebsite.com.

Then later on when that site went live I'd setup an additional alias for the correct domain name.
