I am kind of new to using regex and I was going to use in the passwordStrengthRegularExpression=""  ^(?=.*[A-Z])(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[0-9]).{6,20}$   to have people use at least 1 uppercase, 1 lowercase and 1 number. What I am wondering is, will people who are already registered on the site have to change their password also or can there passwords stay the same before I add this to the web config file? Thanks!

AFAIK, if you change password complexity, when an existing user tries to login(that doesn't meet new password requirements), they will be unable to because of password validations will block that user.

You can force password change for each user in the user account settings.

I'm unsure if a password complexity change is done, if it automatically forces users to update their passwords if theirs don't comply, or if its is required to be done manually.
Hope this helps a bit...
