I agree, how many get their files from SourceFoge, or other mirrors, or RSS???  Clearer filenames would help clarify it for anyone finding a loose file...

And of course it would help if there were some DOCUMENTATION...  I think this was just rushed out the door to thrill another Microsoft conference!  Gee, it's too transparent that Shaun might wish to sell out to Microsoft, just wish he'd do so already....roll the best of DNN with the best of SharePoint...

Ouch, that was a wee bit uncalled for.  Is the football helmet you wear all the time to protect you from walking into walls and falling on your head flame-retardant?  I hope so ...

There was another core team member post that says this is the release.   I know this says Release Candidate..  if that were true the big PR annoucement to the world should not have been made yet.  You dont announce RC like that do you?    Also from past experience with DNN.. an RC is the release.

So which is it ..

Some developers (as in companies) have a Release Candidate which is a a Release that will have support. As opposed to a beta, that usually doesn't. A Release Candidate may become a Gold Release if no Shostoppers are found. But even then one could appear. We might benefit from defining what any release from DNN means, but at this time rather I can see why some people in the Core Team are tired fo comments its a lose-lose game this one.

I mean, when the team doesn't release it is criticized, when it doesn't give a release date it is criticized, when it releases it is criticized, when it gives a release date it is criticized, when it misses a release date it is criticized. When it doesn't say what kind of release it is it is criticized... Do you see a trend???

I am just stating a fact: Criticism comes no matter what... I'd like to see as much effort by members providing fixes.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?
