Hi All,

I've been evaluating the Community Edition and am pleased so far.  There are a couple of features listed for the Pro Edition that we may need, so I'd like to install the trial and evaluate those.  Can I just install that over the existing Community Edition on my server?  Will I lose existing work?  (I have prototyped a couple of portals, and would like not to have to recreate them :-) Any known problems or gotchas?  I've poked around the forums and dotnetnuke.com but don't see anything addressing this kind of "upgrade"?

Thanks,
Starr

yes, you can just overwrite and it will upgrade - however the pro trial is just that - a trial, I would not upgrade a live site as you cant simply go back to the community edition (CE). There is a process to move from a pro to CE instance and occasionally it's something our support staff help people who downgrade to CE with but it takes some time.
