Hi

how to connect to .mdf file that exists in app_data folder

when i try  this i get error

i copied a  mdf file in app_data folder

and i hosted the dnn website in localhost

when i run from localhost its showing error

you need to run SQL Server Express and use proper connection string syntax for user instance database.

Hi

 

can u guide me what i shld install

i  downloaded DotnetNuke 5.06.02  version

and in my server i have

windows server 2008 R2

IIS7

visual studio 2008

installed and i dont want to use sqlserver

i want to acess database from app_data folder

to install DNN on SQL Server, create a new empty database and an account with dbowner permission. Use "database=...;user=...;pwd=...." or "database=...;integratedSecurity=true" in your web.config connection string (instead of referencing database.mdf).
