hi all

I am in my way in installing DNN 5 , and i want to know the minimum required read/write permission on DNN folders and files Or should i give that permission to the root of my Portal???????


Help , please...

anonymous web users require read permission (this is usually granted automatically, when creating the web site), while the Windows account used by the ASP.Net process (as specified in your IIS application pool) requires read, write, create and delete permission.

But i want to know the folders i will give permission on it

is it on the root of the portal or on specific folders only????????

you should grant the permissions for the folder, DNN is installed in (where web.config and default.aspx reside) and all files and subfolders inside.
