Hi

I just tried to upgrade the 3.2 installation to 3.3. I was using the upgrade package.

I have extracted the files over the current installation and chnaged the DB connection string and encryption/decrytion keys.

Upon browsing to the folder I get the following:

 

Upgrading DotNetNuke

Current Assembly Version: 03.03.00

Current Database Version: 03.02.02

00:00:00.062 - Executing Script: C:\DotNetNukeInstall\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\Upgrade.SqlDataProvider

Warning: The Users Table contains duplicate user names - possibility of destroying User Data



Click Here To Upgrade DotNetNuke Anyway       (this is hyperlined to www.xxx.com/Install.aspx?mode=Install&ignoreWarning=true)

Even after clicking this link, i keep getting the same page again and again.

Could someone suggest on what could be the issue? Do i need to make changes in the USers table? if yes, what change are we looking at?

Appreciate any help/ pointers.

But the difference is even when i click the upgrade link, nothing happens :(

Unfortunately, no one replied to this.. so i guess i was pretty isolated on this issue..

i solved it by installing the full install package over the existing installation. it is working now...

it appears that there is an issue with the upgrade package :)
