I have just done the following steps.

  1. FTP full DNN6 code from temporary location whilst the site was built.
  2. Copied the code up to the new site
  3. Edited the Portal Alias in the database to the correct domain
  4. Database not changed as it was fine where it was

Problem is now that the site is asking for a windows login?

New Site : www.mrdiving.co.uk
Temp Site : http://mrdivingnew-co-uk.domain-ref.h...
The code on these two sites is exactly the same, just a different server

Its not a server setting as images etc can be accessed.

Any ideas, anyone?

most likely permissions are not correct for the WIndows user for the ASP.Net account, associated with the Application Pool.
