Hello,

I think this is a simpe problem, but I have not found any mention so far: I am trying to dysplay a pdf file there and then, on the same page. I simply use the iframe module with the option open file on your site, uploaded the file, defined the dimensions etc.

It works fine in FF, but IE9 (and perhaps earlier versions too) ask you 'do you want to open or save?' and if you open it it goes to a new window and losing the site page altogether as well. How can I avoid that and have it simply displayed 'in-page'? I must miss something trivial...

Thanks

Franco

Not positive but I think that's the default behavior of IE.  While the only reason I ever user IE is to verify something works in it... I know IE 9 has the ability for add-ons - so maybe you can search in those for something your after.... granted - that will then only "work on my machine"

Well, the topic is being discussed at length (such as in here http://www.w7forums.com/disable-do-you-want-open-save-file-t11451p2.html) but it seems linked to a security policy in IE, no way to get round it from the web server, apparently. I also tried the Adobe hotfix which some people tried successfully, but it did not work for me.

At this point I have to look at alternatives, perhaps a sort of converter or embedded viewer. Any idea?
