In the event lo the error is this:

InnerException: The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated. The server response was: 5.7.1 Client was not authenticated

it looks like authentication settings for SMTP server (in Host Settings) do not include authentication. Maybe there happened a misspelling?
