I am finally getting some traction. I have just reported this as a bug in the default.css file:

ERROR: .ui-button.ui-widget.ui-state-default.ui-corner-all.ui-button-text-only

CORRECTION: .ui-button .ui-widget .ui-state-default .ui-corner-all .ui-button-text-only

The correction above clears up my button issue.

I am still working on some things like the datepicker, but I think largely it is just a matter of css collisions and errors. Scoping seems to be working very well so far.

I'm having issues with the datepicker and the other jQuery UI controls in my DNN module too.  The background is transparent and it doesn't seem to be using a theme.  Does anyone have a tutorial/example for using jQuery UI themeroller and adding it to your module?

I was having a lot of problems with using jQuery UI on DNN so I wrote this program called SkinTweaker.

SkinTweaker can fix that problem with the transparent background. The calendar also has the same problem and has a fix.
