In the dnn store module, when I complete a transaction in paypal test mode, the order status returns 'awaiting payment' (after going through the paypal site, making a payment and returning to the dnn site). I had thought it would return 'paid'.

Is this by design or will the order status return paid when the site uses paypal in live mode?

Store module use PayPal ipn to accomplish transaction. It needs send post back to your site while you pay. So if you are test with a local site ( for example, http://localhost/dnn6), then PayPal has no way to send notification to your site (PayPal don't know how to reach your site). So, store module doesn't change order status.

It should work after your site goes live and have a official domain name.

Did you enable IPN at PayPal ?

Don't forget to read bellow:

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

I hadn't considered the IPN (and the site is live, btw). I'll investigate that further. Appreciate the help.
