Hey Everyone

I've just moved the current 05.00.04 beta version of the provider to a full release. If you're currently running the beta then there's nothing you need to do as there have been no code changes. Thank-you for testing it out.

However, for everyone else I would suggest downloading it as there are a couple of pertinent bug fixes for it. Full release notes, documentation, and, of course, the download can be found on the provider's Codeplex site.

Good job. Thanks for your the module.

Mike, I have a intranet in a domain with AD connection, that we are now publishing in internet.
Is it possible to syncronize the password of a user created after the first login in windows with the AD, and the password store in DNN to use externally?

Best regards

Horacio Lampe

Horacio,

as far as I understand it, you can login with the AD username/password from "outside" when you go to the login page, select "Windows Login" and enter the username like

DOMAIN\username

Therefore there is no need to connect an AD user with a "normal" account, as it works with Live ID or others.

Best wishes
Michael

Selecting "Windows Login" and entering username without domain prefix is sufficient, as long as the default domain is properly configured in the AD properties. That's great.

However, in the old 5.x DNN days, it used to be possible to have the "Windows Login" as the default choice. Is that still possible?

Also, when a user clicks "Windows Login" and enters a faulty username/password, a message gets displayed and the "Windows Login" is disabled! A typical AD user is deadlocked. You can only either refresh the page or login with a standard user. This is really unusable for us that way...

Any solutions? Thanks!
