Hi, Im running DNN 4.08 and AD Provider 1.00.06 on IIS 7.5 and Windows Server 2008.

I think I have configured everything fine in my IIS, setting Authorization to the site Anonymous and Form Authentication Enabled and in DesktopModules/AuthenticationServices/ActiveDirectory I have Form Authentication and Windows Authentication Enabled. Im using a classic pipeline mode, identity = network service.

But when I try to enter in my site, a dialog box appears asking me the Authentication Credentials, if I use an Active directory account everything is fine, but I can't use the host account nor any Standard account, if I click cancel, an error page appears and then I can re-enter the URL and the dialog box doesnt appear anymore. but that is everyday and its wrong.

How could I avoid that dialog box so I can enter the website normally??

i will appreciate your help. thanks.

You mean the IIS popup? What browser are you using? If it's Chrome or Internet Explorer you need to add the site to either your Trusted or Intranet sites list in the Internet Options on your computer. You can force this out on all domain computers via Group Policy.

Hi, thanks for your response. The Popup title says "Windows Security" and in the body says: "conecting to" website_name, and then the textbox fields for the username and password; is the same popup that appears when you try to do something in your network and the popup appears asking you the administrator credentials.

If i use any AD credential everyting is fine but i cant use the standard users. If I click Cancel, an error page appears with the following message:

401 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid credentials.
You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

After using an AD credential, I can Logout and then click the login button so I can choose the Standard mode. I've tried with IE, Firefox, Chrome and Safari. Also tried adding the site to the Trusted Sites on IE but the popup still appears.

Thanks for your time and support.

That's definitely the IIS popup. Double check the URL that you entered in Trusted sites or perhaps try using a wild card (http://*.mydomain.com).

Hi, thanks again for the quick response. I tried adding the wild card and the IIS popup is still there. Any permission to the sites folder that i'm probably missing?? I gave full permissions to Authenticated users, service, local service, Administrators and network service. or any IIS configuration that i'm missing? I've tried accessing from both connections outside and inside the network.

I really appreciate your help, thanks.
