Hello,  I was just wondering if the following scenario is possible with the events module:

1. Create an Event
2. Email event to a DNN group (this would be an invitation)
3. Attach the iCal file to make it easy for users to get the event in their diaries

Would this be possible?
Many thanks.

Oliver

Hi Oliver,

This isn't currently possible with the module. You can currently get the module to send a templated email to a role (have a look at Event Email Settings), but it doesn't attach the .ics.

I think someone has requested attaching the .ics to this notification on CodePlex, so you could go and add your vote to that request, which will move the item further up the list and therefore make it more likely for us to include.

Cheers
Roger
