Just upgraded our website to DNN 6.1.5 CE and have been playing with the Site Redirection features have been added from the PE and EE editions.

Currently the mobile version of our DNN website is an entirely different url/website built on asp.net MVC. Before the addition of the Site Redirection tools in DNN 6.1.5, we were just using the built in API to do redirects - but we are now going to take advantage of the ability to edit this through the website interface.

The question I have is on our mobile site, we have a link that allows a user to "View Full Site" which then takes them to the full DNN site. What we did previously is pass a query string parameter with this link that we then checked in our DNN site on whether or not to perform the redirection to mobile through the API.

After removing our custom redirection logic and using the Site Redirection features, when we click this link, we just get redirected back to the mobile site. Is there any way to prevent a re-redirect when this link is clicked through the Site Redirection configuration?

Hi,

Uncomment the section <location name="noredirect" url=""> in the file 51Degrees.mobi.config and add the word 'noredirect' in the url, it should works.

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

Gilles - thanks for the help!

It seems like this should work, but I can't get it to work.

So just to go into a little more detail of what I have now setup.

1. In the DNN Site Redirection Management, I have one setting that redirects the home page to my external mobile url.

2. In the 51Degrees.mobi.config file I have uncommented/modified the following

<redirect>
     <locations>
         <location name="noredirect" url="">
             <add property="Url" matchExpression="[&|\?]noredirect"/>
         </location>
     </locations>
</redirect>

3. In my mobile site I have this url to navigate to the "Full" site: http://website.com?noredirect

However when I click the "Full Site" link it still does a redirect back to mobile. Am I missing something still?

Again thanks!

Think I found a solution: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/F...

Just needed to append "?nomo=1" to the end of the link that redirected a user from the mobile site to the full site. There is no need to modify the 51degrees.mobi.config file to get this to work. Couldn't find any mention of this parameter in any of the following mobile API's, so thanks Julien G!
