Hi all,
I have these changes need to apply by the request of the client. I have tried to open the ViewProfile module to see if I can change something. But it seems like the text is being generated in the core.

What I need to do is change the text "Password does not Expire" to "Password does not expire" just change the letter "E" to "e" on "Expire" word. This can be found on User Profile | Manage Profile | Manage Password.

Thanks. Your help is much appreciated.

Hi,

All strings can be changed/adapted using the DNN Language Editor (Host > Language or Admin > Language depending your DNN version). In the left column expand: Local Resources > Admin > Users > App_LocalResources then select the file Password.ascx. Now in the right column locate the resource named: plExpires.Text, enter your change and save! :-)

Gilles

Edit: the resource name for the string you search is: NoExpiry.Text, sorry!

We (team members) are Humans offering their knowledge, their work and their spare time FOR FREE to benefit the community. It would be so particularly appreciated that your messages begin with "Hello" and end with "Thank you" or any other form of politeness. Ask yourself what your reaction would be, if you were approached by me (a total stranger) on the street to ask you something without saying "Hello" nor "Thank you"? After several years of services dedicated to the community, I begin to be tired to read requests without any form of politeness.

HI Gilles,

Thanks for your response. I'm sorry I didn't mention the version of DNN I am using, it is DNN 6.
I have follow your instructions but I didn't see Password.ascx here. All I see is ViewProfile.ascx.
Did I miss something? I don't know if this because of the version of DNN I am using.

Thank you.

It locates under DesktopModules\Admin\Security\App_LocalResources\Password.ascx.resx. Open it you will see NoExpiry.Text which value is "Password does not Expire".
