While attempting to create a child portal this evening I found something very odd. The Child Portal folder did not populate any files.
Steps in the Process:
1. Created Subdomain, with associated DNS records as required.
2. Went to Host > Site Management
3. Hover Over Manage Button > Add New Site
4. Entered appropriate name, and alias as expected.
5. Waited for DNS Refresh period of time.
6. Attempted to access site. Received stock IIS page.
7. Viewed Site File Manger, and noticed that under wwwroot>Portals>2> there were not root files as expected such as default.aspx, or any other standard DNN Files.
Has anyone else tried deploying child portals since in release: 06.01.05 (142).
I have extensive experience deploying/custom scripting for DNN. So, to have issues with something so trivial seems unusual to me. I'm just curious if perhaps steps have changed that I didn't think about. Or if this truly is a bug.
Here are the images showing that the child portal was in portal 2 folder, and the another showing the contents of that folder.
