Sebastian,

Really?  Are you sure this won't affect the site even more (www.woodsborovfc.org)? I'm leary.  I would have imagined that if I re-download the "06.01.02 Upgrade Package", unlock the zip files, and re-upload the same files to the site, it would cause more errors or a non-working site.  I'll see if I can perform this action this evening.

trust me :-) it cannot do any harm - as long as you are using upgrade package.

Cheers from Germany,

I finally got around to unblocking the zip, unzipping the zip, and re=uploaded that same version (6.1.2) to my host (over-writing files).   After it completed, I took my app_offline.htm file down, and the site came up without any problems... but the issue still remains....

I can't edit page settings (I receive same message as I did in first post), and users can't register (basically screen flashes back to the original login screen)

Suggestions, thoughts.... What's next?

Fire company carnival is coming up ... any help would be great.

With regard to users not being able to register, there was a bug in DNN 6.1.x whereby users registering with a password less than the number of characters required (usually 7) did not receive an error but were simply returned to the registration screen (you state the login screen, so not sure if this is the same issue).

Not sure but that may also be the case if users are not using the required number of characters for the username (5, I think).

That may possibly answer that question.

Pingle, when the user clicks "register", the screen just flashes and it comes right back to the login screen.  Basically, the user can't get to the registration screen.

So, I re-uploaded all of the files to my DNN site, and nothing seemed to change. Was I supposed to re-initiate the install using the special URL?
