Could it be you upgraded with an install package instead an upgrade package?  Are you sure you set physical permissions well and inherit it to all subfolders and files? Is the upgrade propertzy set to false in your web.config file?  If yes, did you run the install/upgrade manuelly?

I'm pretty sure I used the "upgrade" package.  What would be an indication that could prove me different?

All permissions were the same as they have always been for previous installs (I haven't changed anything). Regardless, I have re-pushed the "read, write, modify" permissions of ASPNET to all sub folders to be sure.

Upgrade property is set to "false" (I just confirmed that this morning).

On the first "Upgrade" attempt to 6.1.2,  I used link "http://woodsborovfc.org/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade" to perform the upgrade, and if my memory servers me correctly, I did not notice any errors during the upgrade.

UPDATE ON USER REGISTER LINK:I changed the setting for registration page from the "login" page to "not specified" and now users seem to be able to register. I was able to successfully register via firefox, however Internet Explorer 8 is skewing the registration screen (so not sure if that's a browser issue or not).

The one thing that I seem to think I did was forget to "unblock" the zip file that I unpacked, and uploaded, which I think may be the cause of my issue...maybe?  So I did "re-upload" an "unblocked" version of the 6.1.2 upgrade, visited the website, and nothing changed.... I'm thinking "maybe" I'm supposed to re run the install package " http://woodsborovfc.org/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade"... thoughts?

 Any other general comments?

Sounds to me as an browser (css) issue, if it works on FF but not on I.E 8.  Please try the Developer tool on I.E. and try the diverent document versions if it makes some changes. To enable the Dev. tool on I.E press F12.

If I did make an error, and used the "install package" instead of the "upgrade package", what would I need to change?  I want to see if that could be the culprit.

If you used the install package instead of the upgrade package, and didn't transfered the the Maschine Key, both connection strings and setting the databaseOwner and objectQualifier to the same as on the old web.config to the new web.config file you have to restore the files and database from a backup!

Then you could use the upgrade package to upgrade your instance!
