Hi,

Can someone give me a good explanation of the difference and effect in the web.config of:

add name="LogoffHandler*" path="Logoff.aspx" verb="*" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Authentication.LogOffHandler, DotNetNuke" modules="ManagedPipelineHandler" scriptProcessor="" resourceType="Unspecified" requireAccess="Script" allowPathInfo="false" preCondition="integratedMode" responseBufferLimit="4194304" />

<!-- What is the different here?
<add name="LogoffHandler*" path="Logoff.aspx" verb="*" type="DotNetNuke.Services.Authentication.LogOffHandler, DotNetNuke" preCondition="integratedMode" />-->

I currently run in IIS7, Integrated mode and am using the top handler.Which one should I be using and what's the difference?

The second one is using a number of default values.

Due to the fact that the impementation consists just of the line

context.Response.Redirect(Globals.NavigateURL("LogOff"));

I wouldn't expect any differences in execution.

Thanks Sebastian, I thought there was more to it than that - so if the defaults are omitted it seems to work ok too. (I have many entries in my web config that differ like this, hence I asked)

you are welcome, Rodney - I am not quite sure, why some entries have different options in your install. did you use same install method for all sites or e.g. use Web Platform Installer for this one?
