Is there a script that will update a database from 6.0.0 to 6.1.5?

The upgrade package fails to update the db on my server.. not sure why, and thought I could just update it manually?

 Thanks,

Jay

you can get the individual scripts from the Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider folder and apply them via the host->sql menu (which will replace the databaseowner and objectqualifier tokens) - however that is not normally the right answer. I posted a suggestion on your other post I recommend you look at first.

Thanks.. I'll follow up on the other thread. I didn't realize that there is a log to look at. I've already restored, but I'll try the standard update again and see if I can get the log. I think it's related to permission (maybe Plesk related)

Thanks,

Jay

I know on some versions of Plesk after an Plesk upgrade the permissions are reset from Plesk to the default settings.  You should check the physical permissions before you upgrade DNN.  Also I sugest to use the upgrade package.

Please be aware that mostly the databaseOwner (SQL schema) that is used is not 'dbo'  there is on default used the user name of the database connection.  This needs the executrion permission for the IUser(domainname) to run the install and upgrades.  After upgrading it could be replaced to only read.
