Hi:

I apologize if this has been asked/answered previously, but I sure can't find it if it has...

We recently upgraded our site to 6.1.3 and have encountered a situation that is somewhat problematic.  We encounter situations where users sign on for an account, but for one reason or another are unable to follow our normal path to be authenticated.  In the past (version 5.x), we were able to go in and authenticate the user manually.  However, now we are unable to do so since the First Name/Last Name fields are required and the user has not yet had a chance to fill them in.

Programmatically, we are allowed to authenticate a user without them having those fields filled in, and we would prefer to be able to do the same thing manually.

Is there a way to manage those fields being required?

Thanks!

Larry

Hi, you can change the required information in Control Panel > Admin > User Account, and in Edit mode, "Manage" the moduleUser Account allow you to "Manage Profile Properties". In this place you can set required and visible (or not) for each Profile field.

First and Last name are always required in DNN up to version 6.1.5, unless you are using a 3rd party registration form.
