Hi,

that is pretty easy. Make a backup of the installation (eg to a ZIP file). Set up a web site on the target server, restore the installation to the root of the new web site.

If you need to transfer the database as well, just make a backup of the DB and restore it on the new server. Adapt the connection strings in the web.config file, and - if necessary - the permissions on the database.

That's all.

Best wishes
Michael

Which code-behind files?

Did you develop any modules? If you did this as a WAP, then you do not need to upload the code behind files to the other server, but the DLL must be in the bin directory. Or better, you create an extension package and install the module. If you created a WSP then you need a web deployment project to do this. (There are also other ways).

Or did you install the source version of DNN locally?

Best wishes
Michael
