Hi,

I opened up my Dev site this afternoon to an error message:

DotNetNuke Error

An error has occurred. An error has occurred.

Without any other information. I went into the database Event Log Table and found the error message that was showing up as I couldn't access the Event viewer and I am getting the following message:

System.Web.HttpException: The file '/DotNetNuke/DesktopModules/DDRMenu/Menu.ascx' does not exist.

I have not made any changes to anything since it last worked this morning, I simply reloaded the site to log back in and got this error. Going to the path, the Menu.ascx file is definitely still there so I am unsure as to why this error is showing up.

Thanks for any help you can provide

Chris

If the site worked before, you should check your physical permissions on your DNN folder and make sure you inherited the settings to all subfolders an files you found on your DNN folder.

Check your IIS settings.

Matthias,

Thanks for the recommendation on checking the IIS Settings, there was a file that showed up with an Error next to it in there that was causing the problems. Once I deleted it, it fixed the DNN error.
