We are uploading our help files to a DNN website I created.

Our product is a hosted SaaS system, and we hoped to code our product to open the help from the DNN website.  However, we do not use Active Directory or Live ID for login on our host system.

Is there a module available, or a way to custom code DNN, that will allow us to pass credentials from our host system to DNN when we make the help call (so customers do not need separate credentials on the DNN website)?

May I ask why you want to apply security to these documents if they are only help files?

We are in a very similar situation to what you have described and have a number of pages and PDF files on our corporate (DNN) website which are publicly available but do not appear in the site menu or as links anywhere on the site. Our users access them via links coded into our application.

Yes, anyone with the URL can access these pages but at the end of the day they are only help files.

Just because it's proprietary information.  My company doesn't want to expose information to competitors.

passing credentials from one system to another is not trivial, did you consider using ActiveDirectory authentication for your employees?
