I went to login to one of my DNN 5.5.1 websites today and noticed that I was getting several "500 (Internal Server Error)" messages in Chrome's developer tools. They are all similar to this:

"GET http://www.breweryacht.com/WebResource.axd?d=LTuGlHE3Kq6T0KPUeEdmXgJH9PXPn8FfXmEJUTBNm9g8BY-9Coj5lJF9cvy4R-ZARDgRL7nmQ_rHPQQX0&t=634489581699133040 500 (Internal Server Error)"

I am unable to make any edits to the website because nothing loads properly when logged in, including the PostBack JS functions. The only big change that has been made was having my hosting provider enable mod_rewrite on the server yesterday (Monday). I have been going back and forth with them all day, disabling mod_rewrite, re-enabling, making other various changes, and even restoring the site from a backup from last Friday. None of those has worked.

I'm not sure what else they can do and nothing I have tried has worked either. Does anyone know what's going on? I'm willing to try almost anything at this point. By the way, my other DNN site with the same hosting provider is working fine.

Thank you for any help anyone can provide!

The problem has been resolved! Just in case anyone runs into this error in the future, here is the response from my hosting company:

"After working with a lead technician on the issue it looks like we were able to get the admin panel in your Dot Net Nuke working correctly again. Specifically we removed the mod_rewrite handler and set the application pool .NET version to v4.0, the bitness to 64 bit, and the pipeline mode to Integrated. We then recycled the application pool and logged in the admin panel is displaying properly what I can see and the Chrome developer tools are not reporting any errors now. We then tried enabling mod_rewrite again but doing so caused the 500 error again. We then disabled the mod_rewrite handler again and made sure that the admin panel was still displaying correctly after doing so."
