Hello..
I have an integer column and it's for items of chapters; legal stuff (Chapter 3026.04).

If an item number is 04, when I enter this in the form, it removes the leading zero.  I can format this correctly within the XSL so it displays it as 04.

In testing, I added two more items; .41 and .05.  When I sort by just the chapter it puts the items as 3026.04, 3026.41 and then 3026.05.  The chapter is also an integer column.

I tried a double-sort; first by chapter and then by item, but it doesn't display the chapters correctly.

Any suggestions on how to get this working properly?  Sadly, I can't use a decimal system since some chapter and items in another feature uses a dash instead of a period separator.

Thanks..

I don't know of an easy solution to your problem, but what about trying the following.
What if you created an additional column for Sort Order, and use that to do the sorting, leaving the chapter IDs out of the picture?

Make the column hidden as to now show the numbers (assuming you can sort on a hidden column)

That might allow you to get the sorting you need?
