I was wondering if it's possible to edit the contents of a portal skin (skin.css) using the Stylesheet Editor that's integrated into the Admin > Site Settings?

At the moment I think it is displaying default.css and I can't see any obvious way to change it.

Thanks

As far as I know, it isn't... But, the stylesheet you're editing in the stylesheet editor is the last one to load. So, if you put things in there, they will override the skin's style sheet.

At least I'm pretty sure that's correct.

OK thanks...so if I copy the contents of my skin.css into the Stylesheet Editor it will be editable from then on. Is that right?

Yeah... I think it would have that kind of impact... but, that may or may not make sense depending on your goals.

If you did that, you wouldn't be editing your skin, you'd just be overriding it... Overriding it like that is more useful for specific elements or additions. If you want to make big changes to your skin, I would just make a new version of your skin and re-install it... Sometimes, I will install different versions of skins as different packages so that I can play with them and choose between them.

It's really up to you which case makes more sense in your situation.
