hi ...

i have developed a dnn portal using dnn 6.1.3  ,my .net framework is  .net framework v2.0.50727,and  Iam runnig it on iis6.

i have no issues with the portal on my local machine ,but when i move the site to production server, the site opens successfully, but from other machines it asks the user to upgrade the .net framework.

Iam not able to figure out the problem ..so plz can any one help to solve this issue........

please make sure you are running .Net 3.5 SP1 on the server.

thanks for your reply....i have one more querry....

yes ,Iam using .net 3.5 sp1 on my production server ,

but one of my user of the portal complians that he is asked to install .net frame work and redirects him to microsoft 's page to download the framework.

so this neccessary that for a user browsing the site needs the framework on his machine.......

That sounds abnormal to me. The user should not even need a windows machine to view your site. It should work on Mac/Linux/Phone.

Does your site allow him to download an executable? Maybe such an executable wants .Net 3.5.

Best wishes,

make sure, MIME types are configured properly for your web site and permissions are properly granted (anonymous users should not be able to browse the folders).
