Hi,

I'm new to DNN and have just attempted to install it on my Windows 7 laptop but each time I seem to manage it there are only red crosses shown where images should be. This happens on the installation pages and after logging in as either admin or host. Has this got something to do with the permissions? I have attempted another installation after logging in to Windows as Administrator but the result is the same. I have also tried Chrome, IE and Firefox and there is no difference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks

typically this indicates some sort of rewriting rule (perhaps at the IIS level or even on a network device such as a proxy) - i recommend right clicking the images and seeing where they are being sourced from and trying to load them directly by that path (this removes the dotnetnuke element and will demonstrate that something is causing the path request to fail). it may also be worth checking the http statuses in a http proxy such as fiddler to see if they are 404 (missing) or a different http exception e.g. 300 level exceptions are permissions related.
