We have a website that was upgraded to DNN 6.1.5 a few weeks ago, and was working fine until a couple days ago.  Can't really think of anything that would have changed but as of the last couple days, every time I go to the site I get the following error message.   I am running the website on a Windows Server 2008 machine with IIS 7.5.  Thanks!

are you in integrated or classic pipeline mode? If integrated, try changing to classic as integrated has some issues with app_start code - whilst dotnetnuke doesnt ship with such code, it's possible a 3rd party module does and caused the issue

Thanks for your help!  It is running in integrated mode in IIS and actually there are not any 3rd party modules installed on this website.

i know that changing to classic will fix this - but i dont know why this is happening - there are thousands of 6.1.5 installs that dont get this issue, i'm not sure what the permutation is that causes it. Is any error logged in the event viewer (admin->event viewer)?

are you using a module with an extra .dll, which might require classic app pool?
