please check size of your tables in the database and database files, especially transaction log. This might no longer get truncated during daily backups.

I noticed that after installing DNN version 6.2 asp.net became 4, my server runs on Windows 2003 Server and Express salserver 2005.
Maybe that's why the performance is low?

Hi have the same problem it's really slow: If we not get an fix or workaround we have to look for other CMS tools. Our sites run on an 8 core server with 10 GB ram so its plenty of resource. We also get  claims from customers, that they don't accept such slow sites.

Knut, you need to identify the bottleneck.
check the database for largest tables.
what are the sizes of your main pages?

Hi I have done following:

  1. Delete all record in sitelog and eventlog
  2. Remove all module that wasn' t in use
  3. run reindex and updatestats
  4. shrink the DB from 2 GB to 60 MB
  5. Ensure that keepalive tool poll/request every site every 5 min
  6. Config Dnn for heavy caching in memory not disk/file
  7. Config IIS7 for static and dynamic caching

My opinion is that your DB maintance advice gives the biggest bost to the performance.

Now the site  response is really fast.

Thanks for your advice Leupold

Br Knut Inge
