Need 1 more piece of information.. from which DotNetNuke version did you upgrade into 6.2?

I had the exact same issue where the Profile avatar links in the login area and in the notifications were missing. I was able to solve the issue. It seems for some reason the default site alias was set to localhost

I changed the default alias to point to the main site domain and presto got the profile images back. Check your site alias settings and see what is set to default.

Kindly Change in Admin --> Site Setting -->  Advance Setting  and change your Default Alias as your site Name instead of localhost. it will solve your problem

This happened when I upgraded as well.

Thanks for the info, solved that issue.
