I have the exact same problem. Did you get it to finally work? I do have the messaging module listed in the extension without the ability to remove. I wanted to go to the package table to follow the steps above but I have only be using DNN for about 3 months and still trying to get a good grasp on how it works. Could you tell me how to navigate to the package table? I am using dnn 6.2.5 with .net 4.0. Please help because it is so hard to find anyone good assistance without spending hours combing over the web to still not get a good answer.

Hi Scott. Did you ever figure this out? I am having the same problem using dnn 6.2.5 with .net 4.0. I tried to follow the steps Cathal but since I am very new to DNN (4 to 5 months) I don't know how to navigate to the package table. Could you share that information with me please. I really do need help on this issue. I have searched the web and only find tidbits of information but not enough to get me anywhere. I am also trying to use the member directory with the Core Message and the directory also will not display names. Thought it might be an Active Directory issue but I need to start from someplace. Any assistance would be more than grateful.
