Hi all,

We have downloaded the DNN6.2 trial edition for a big client project and need to know from a licensing perspective, what will happen if we take no action for 30 days to gauge whether we need to buy a dev DNN Pro v6.2 licence now.

At the end of 30 days of trial, does the website :

- stop working altogether

- some functionality ceases to work - if so can u provide more details please

- all functionality ceases to work

- the trial instance remains 100% functional but displays some sort of error

- something else?

Please provide feedback asap so we can make a decision.

We need this for 1 developer to keep working for 4-5 months. (not shared development)

Thanks

Vineet

after 30 days, there will be a visible text box, telling you and your visitors that you are running an unlicensed trial version. Note; there is no official migration path from Pro to Community version.

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold

Thanks Sebastian. Can you please also confirm that apart from the textbox, everything will remain functional.

I will obviously work on getting desktop licences shortly but am trying to identify risks of doing nothing as this stage.

I use PE/EE trial for translation and haven't noticed any functional limitations (beside the external ones like integrity check, which requires registration on DotNetNuke.com).

Cheers from Germany,
Sebastian Leupold
