Hi,

 I copied everything over as the instructions say and I even get my temporary "app_offlline" message.  I try to go to http://mySubDomain.MyDomain.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=upgrade and nothing happens.

 I get a "connection reset" error:

==

he connection was reset

          The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

  The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few
    moments.
  If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network
    connection.
  If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure
    that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Any suggestions?

you need to remove app_offline.htm, for calling install.aspx

Thanks Sebastian,

I removed the app_offline.htm and I still get the connection reset error.

We use the URL rewriter tool in IIS. Could that have anything to do with that?

Ok, I removed the app_offline... like I said before..

Now I added this back in my config (contrary to the upgrade instructions the Dotnetnuke says).

<add key="AutoUpgrade" value="true" />

After that I got this screen (so far so good):

ok, this site won't allow me to upload the image.. Image the default wizard page in your mind.

Next, I'm right back to the same error... Connection reset.

Is the install trying to use a different connection or somethiing???  This is an existing site and is currently DNN 5.6.3.
