Does anyone know if it is possible to automate uploads into the DNN Documents module?

If not, does anyone know of a documents module from the store that is similar to the DNN Documents module (a list of documents not a folder structure holding documents) that enables automation of uploading?

AFAIR the Links module (dnnlinks.codeplex.com) does support this, however you will need to perform frequent sync of file system and the database for the files to show up.

Thanks for the response. I have three remaining questions:

1) How do you sync the file system and the database?

2) I tried to set a link to a file I have sitting in the admin file manager. I went through all of the steps and it seemed to add the document to the links. However, when I click on the link to open it, I get the following error:

The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.
Requested URL: /Portals/0/Client Files /May 2012 /Details to Work on and Questions.docx

What is causing this error?

3) This module seems almost identical to the documents module. Is there a folder residing on disk in one of the folders with my website where I can drop files in and have them appear in this module without going through the process of adding them to the module on the site?

1) use the button in top right corner of Admin > File Manager with "recursive" checkbox enabled.
2) it depends on the version of the Links module you are using and I experienced issues with some of the comment settings ("AJAX" or "JQuery")
3) AFAIR latest version of the Links module has a mode to list links to all files in a folder.

I will reply to the numbers below:

1) Thank you. I thought this was the case.
2) How do I change the comment settings? I couldn't find anything to do with this in the module settings. Which comment setting will stop this error.
3) I figured out how to configure the module to list all links in ONE folder and one folder only. Is it possible to configure the module to list links to files in all folders? Note -- when I change it to this setting, the links do work as opposed to when I add an individual link in query 2).
