Upgrading from 6.1.5 to 6.2 is not the same as fresh install of 6.2 because even if the upgrade is without any error one cannot some of the new social features.

I think it is so because upgrade package does not auto create the required pages as auto created by fresh 6.2 install. If you are not using default Registration module on your website, you cannot use the default registration module after upgrading to 6.2. 6.2. Profiles, of course, do not work if you have never used profiles before or if you are using another profile module.

Active Social, which boasted about one module different templates, have become 2-3 modules now ( still better than Smart-thinker but is getting closer).  I also think the customization is not as easy as it was before. (At least, not easy as Active Social and Smart-thinker).

How do upgrade users get the default registration module? How do upgrade users make profile work now?

Sorry, forgot to say, thank you for your time.

Also, I am not talking about obvious differences in the upgrade and install packages. I have used specific instances to show the differences (auto creation for things to work).

Thanks.
