We just ugraded from DNN 5.06.03 to DNN 6.02.00.  Previously, all of our links in HTML modules that pointed to page with special characters in the title stripped the special character out of the URL. 

After we did the upgrade we are getting a Page Not Found because the Page URL now includes the special characters.  Is there an administrator setting that can be updated to fix this issue?

Ex.   on the Previous version of DNN this url worked:   
Page Title is set to General: Today
The URL that worked in our HTML module was GeneralToday.aspx. 

After the uprgrade when you click the URL above you get a page not found because it's looking for the URL General:Today.aspx

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

no, this is a bug that we will be fixing in 6.2.1 I'm afraid (i.e. before characters such as .,/ etc were stripped but the page level logic was refactored and now theyre not causing this issue . 6.2.1 is expected in ~3 weeks.

Any work around for this issue?  Just upgraded 6.1.5 > 6.2 on a big enterprise site this morning and this issue is breaking many pages across many portals, many child pages affected.

Could roll back to 6.1.5?!?!?!

ARGH!

no, no workaround that i know of, it is fixed in 6.2.1 which will be out in around 10 days AFAIK

Yikes.. just upgraded to 6.2.0 and links throughout my sites are broken. Looks like I need to restore from backup. Argh.
