I just found your thread right now. So, do I understand correctly: nothing can ve done, excepted living with the problem ?? Or applying the microsoft patch ?

-1- What do people who are affected ? Do they live with it or do they patch ???

-2- And if I do not patch, does it affect the performance of the website(unavailability for few seconds/minutes) ??

I say again, I'd patch up with the MS hotfix, I'd move over to DNN 4.4.1 when available.

Ok, but excepted polluting the log, if I do not patch, does it affect the performance of the website (unavailability for few seconds/minutes) ???

PS: Because I am not sure that I can patch
(first I am not sure of having understood what to do / secondly, I am on an shared hosting servce, and I do not think that the provider will do this).

The patch is simply a new build of IIS, DNN 4.4.1 is a performance release + bugfixes.

nb it took two months for me to convince my hosting provider to patch, when they eventually woke up it worked.

Simple as that.
