I have one of the sites I administer that never stops loading.  The favicon never loads and it sits and churns?  I have compared the Performance Settings with my other sites and they are the same.  The reload icon in the browser tab never stops spinning.  The site seems to operate fine.

Any idea how to cure this behavior?

Would you check you log.resources file \\_default\Logs\.log.resources and see if you have any errors like the ones listed in this issue?

DNN-21683 - MessagingScheduler always runs causing poor site performance

I've logged the above issue based on the same behavior you're describing..

The fix is to go into Host --> Schedule and turn off Messaging Dispatch job (uncheck "Schedule Enabled" third from the top)

 I did this and then restarted the application.  It didn't fix the issue, until I closed the browser and opened it back up?

I did have incorrect SMTP settings.  They are fixed now.  Should I turn this Messaging Dispatch back on?
