befor transferring the site, add the new domain address as website alias in Admin > Site Settings. Now you may copy over database and all files, you might need to adopt manually both uncommented connections in web.config file. Make sure to configure IIS website with same settings and use same .net version for your IIS app pool. Don't forget to grant file system permissions to the ASP.Net account for the DNN install directory.
