I have an instance that was an old copy of production DB I just ran the upgrade (unblocked ZIP) from 6.2 to 6.2.4 and it's still showing the same error.

I'll try running installresources again just to make sure.

Question, before you upgraded that instance, did the site settings work?

Can't remember when it stopped working. I want to say when we did the 6.2 upgrade back in June. It worked back on 5.6 and then there was a blog post I followed for the upgrade path to 6 and 6.1. It's been upgraded incrementally since.

I'm curious if it's the actual user controls that are causing the problem or if there is a database row that's causing the problem. I even tried copying core DNN files from an instance which doesn't exhibit this issue and it didn't work. Also tried copying the entire instance to a separate web server and running it and still the same issue, so I'm guessing it's not a file issue.

Do you have DB access?

How many records do you have in the PortalAlias table? Any of them stick out as looking incorrect?

If you visit the site settings page as a HOST do you see anything different than if you go as an admin?

I do have DB access. If I try to get to it as either Host or Admin it throws the same exception. For our portal alias table, it's got the site URL as the one being used, but has localhost and our webserver alias in there as well. Nothing out of the ordinary. I can try to just remove all the other aliases as the URL for the site is the only one that really matters.
