This is why DNN needs a certification system for software. Weed out the chaff and drive decent prices for software that allows a software company to be profitable.

I very much agree that a certification system for modules would be nice.

Meanwhile, what some people are not aware of with Morpheus is the main problem with the package is the SkinLab module.  Starting with DotNetNuke 6.x it did not work properly, but there was an update issued by Nukeville that addressed the problem.  In fact, I have a DotNetNuke installation with the very latest version running with SkinLab and Morpheus now and it does seem to work.

The original version of SkinLab is 1.02

The updated version is 1.08

If you still have your original distribution from when you purchased the skin, you should be able to download the updated package.  To make sure you have the updated version, once you have downloaded the file, open the Zip file for the Skin Lab module and look for the file called Nukeville.Skinlab.dnn and open this with notepad.

You will see this code at the top of the file - note the second line where the module version is stated:

    www.nukeville.com
    support@nukeville.com

Great!  With the DNN store no longer supporting this module, where do you get the updated version?

Hi Carol:
If you still have the original download from when you purchased the module, you would have been provided with links to download it from the NukeVille website.  As recently as last week, those links were still functional and the updated modules were being distributed from there.

I just checked and the download links are still working as well. All the modules were version 1.0.6, with the exception of SkinLab, which is 1.0.8. I have been a big Nukeville customer since they launched their first skin and have worked directly with Evan on a lot of custom work, some not website related. I haven't been able to reach him by email and this concerns me quite a bit.

Hi everyone, returned to work with DNN after about a year away, and upon upgrading a Morpheus-skinned site from 5.2.x to 6.2.x, found that the login link no longer works, so can't log in as host or admin.

I bought Morpheus through what was then called snowcovered.com and have the receipt, as well as all the original downloaded files, but cannot find any link to the upgrade files that people have mentioned.  As well, either I have forgotten the user ID and password originally supplied to snowcovered, or maybe the account has been deleted as a result of non-use, or not migrated to the current store, or something.  In any case I can't log on to the store and no password is sent when I click the "password reminder" link.

Have sent an email to the store that has not yet been answered.  Can anybody help?  I do of course have full backups of the file system and database, but would prefer not to go through that exercise before re-skinning the site.  I like Morpheus.  An unfortunate situation.

Thanks and best regards

--Mike
