Hi - I am as good with regular expressions as I am with housework!! :-)

So that leaves me asking for some expertiese.

Taken from an existing form, this regular expression code

^(?=.*\d)(?=.*[a-z])(?=.*[A-Z]).{7,7}$

meant that the use has to put in one upper and one lower case and more than 7 characters and all I want to have in there is to use more than 7 characters -

Can anyone wave their regular expression wand and make this work for me?

Thanks for this - I'm not sure if there is something else amiss with the form - It's Datasprings, I've never used it before and I lost a good 5 hours on weekend.

It just comes up with an * with no real error message, but I do remember that I had to remove a dynamic pass field when upgrading to DNN 6.2, that field being deleted, but not deleted in the DB, brought about another problem with Active Social which we are using on the site.

*sigh* This is wearing me down!

All I want is a decent form that carries a couple of custom form fields and populates in to the correct places, so that people, after being authenticated, do not have to repopulate their information. The reason we stopped using Datasprings was due to the skin breaking, and the fact it doesn't have a 'terms and conditions' option, which another form did, then I found out after reading for hours and looking at their tutorials, that it did - IF i bought their forms module as well - meaning I'd have to spend another 200.00 on the form, which I'd already spent 190.00 on the registration form.

Then when I found I couldn't get it to work, I could get support from them for $600.00 in purchasing 3 x 200.00 per hour block.

I'm not calling myself overly intelligent, but I'm not stupid either, but I'm not having much luck.

I'm going back to look for a different solution - surely someone has a module that works.

I feel your pain Nina.  I recently spent a week trying to get Datasprings Dynamic Forms to work and between the formatting issues, quirky validation, and database corruption I gave up.

My best solution for me has been XMod Pro, but it's overkill.

Is the problem with regular expressions, or with Dynamic Forms?

If it's a regular expression problem, there are lots of help sites and test sites for regex. I admit that regex is something I've never learned, but often dislike.
