At my old website (not DNN) I did a lot of internal linking between pages, using anchors. Using DNN its easy to select a word an make it anchor (HTML module), however when I try to link to this anchor from other HTML modules, I have to manually remember and add the "#anchorname" to the URL. I had expected being able to just select the page, and then using the "Existing Anchor" drop-down to pick the anchor (however this list is not populated with my anchors). What am I doing wrong? or does the "Existing Anchor" simply not work?

Pelle,

just add a hyperlink using the hyperlink manager, go to the tab "Anchor" and enter a name to create the anchor. You may then select the existing anchor when you add the hyperlink to this.

Best wishes
Michael

Hi

The way I find existing anchor info is to put the desired module into edit or settings mode.
In the address bar the URL will look something like this
/tabid/56/ctl/Edit/mid/430/Default.aspx

The anchor is thus   /mypage.aspx#430

Hope this helps

Ian
