Hello everyone this is the first time I write in the forum.
I wanted to submit my problem.
I developed a Portal with DNN and I chose powerdnn.com as hosting.
The choice of server I have found one that is in United Kindom. My Application is directed mainly in Italy and although I have set both at site level and at the level of individual users on Rome(Italy) time zone, I continue to see an hour back.
The powerdnn team told me that this is a problem inherent in dnn for certain areas which do not apply the correct setting.
Can anyone help me?
thanks

in which module do you see the difference? Most DNN4 / DNN5 modules work best if being used on sites, where default TZ equals server TZ.

Hi Sebastian

I have developed a little custom skin object that show the value of UserInfo.Membership.LastLoginDate.ToShortDateString()  i think that this value was in TZ of DNN setting that i have set in site setting advanced setting. I have tryed to change this for a single register user in my site but i always show the TZ of the server (UK).  This happens in the Blog module too when i Create a new post or in a FeedBack module. It's seems a general thing.

Any suggestions was accepted.

The big problem is that no DNN skill hosting there are in italy and i think that DNN is a great CMS for various pourpose but hosting DNN application in Italy is impossible because the major provider don't support DNN and this application frameworh (at least in Italy) did not catch on. The only other choise is a dedicated server.

the value should be in UTC and you should apply current user time zone, which might be derived from user profie, portal default time zone or tz of an email recipient.
